
William G. Sawyer (wsawyer@hydromentia.com) provides
strategic direction and leadership as the company’s President and
Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sawyer is an innovative leader with
over 20 years experience in marketing, executive-level management
and strategic planning. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, he
joined J. Walter Thompson Co. as an advertising account executive.
Later he joined R. L. Polk & Co., an information services company, where he built a business unit that helped clients like Blockbuster, Gevalia Coffee, Pep Boys, and Goodyear turn business intelligence into marketing advantage. This success led him to seek more entrepreneurial opportunities in the internet and web-based technology industries. At Argus Associates, an internet consulting firm, Mr. Sawyer brought in key clients including, Motorola, Square D Corporation, and 3Com. As a result, he increased sales by over 400% in one year and increased the size of the average sale by over 600%. Prior to joining HydroMentia he ran an independent consulting firm helping small-and-medium size businesses recognize growth opportunities.
E. Allen Stewart, P.E. (astewart@hydromentia.com) is the company’s chief operating officer, providing both engineering oversight and biological expertise for facility design and operations. A native Floridian, Mr. Stewart holds a B.S. degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from University of Central Florida. Mr. Stewart is a professional engineer and biologist with over 25 years of experience in the design, development and operation of commercial scale managed aquatic plant systems. Mr. Stewart is an original founder of HydroMentia, Inc., and is recognized as a leading developer of aquatic plant systems. During his professional engineering career, Mr. Stewart has been actively involved in the development of numerous innovative pollution control and waste management systems, and has been a technical contributor to landmark legislation involving water resource and solid waste management.
Mark J. Zivojnovich (mzivo@hydromentia.com) serves as the vice president of project development. A native of Washington state, Mr. Zivojnovich holds a B.S. degree from Oregon State University, and a M.S. from Auburn University and is a founding member of HydroMentia, Inc. Mr. Zivojnovich has nearly 20 years of experience in a broad scope of Florida environmental projects; including the design, operation, and promotion of numerous managed aquatic plant systems. Mr. Zivojnovich previously served as Director of Environmental Services for MFM Environmental, and was responsible for the company’s compliance and recycled energy operations.

Patricia A. Bevis (pbevis@hydromentia.com) a native Floridian, Mrs. Bevis holds a B.A. from the University of West Florida. Her more than 20 years as a certified public accountant in both national and local practice have brought a variety of experience and financial knowledge to the company’s development since 1997. Mrs. Bevis oversees accounting, insurance, and human resources matters for HydroMentia and is an active member of local, state and
national professional associations.
Robinson Bazurto (rbazurto@hydromentia.com) serves as
the company’s director of operations manager. A native Colombian, Mr. Bazurto holds a B.S. degree in Marine Biology and an M.B.A. in International Business. Mr. Bazurto has over 18 years of project management experience in the fields of aquaculture and water treatment. Prior to joining HydroMentia, Mr. Bazurto served as production manager for both shrimp and fish cultivation operations both in the US and abroad. Mr. Bazurto’s extensive project management and system operations experience with HydroMentia’s technologies provides a real time approach for systems optimization.
Cherrie Demary (cademary@hydromentia.com) serves as the company’s Office Manager and Project Coordinator. A native of Massachusetts, Mrs. Demary is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and is a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Mrs. Demary has over 25 years of project and field experience in industrial environments. Prior to joining HydroMentia, Mrs. Demary served as an Administrative Specialist in Research and Development and Environmental Affairs, specializing in MSDS, equipment preventive maintenance and setup of monitoring programs.
