William Sawyer    

President and Chief Executive Officer

      

William G. Sawyer provides strategic direction and leadership as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Sawyer is an innovative leader with over 20 years experience in marketing, executive-level management and strategic planning. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, he joined J. Walter Thompson Co. as an advertising account executive. Later he joined R. L. Polk & Co., an information services company, where he built a business unit that helped clients like Blockbuster, Gevalia Coffee, Pep Boys, and Goodyear turn business intelligence into marketing advantage.  This success led him to seek more entrepreneurial opportunities in the internet and web-based technology industries. 

At Argus Associates, an internet consulting firm, Mr. Sawyer brought in key clients including, Motorola, Square D Corporation, and 3Com.  As a result, he increased sales by over 400% in one year and increased the size of the average sale by over 600%. Prior to joining HydroMentia he ran an independent consulting firm helping small-and-medium size businesses recognize growth opportunities.
